The inside scoop..
Interests:
From a young age it was always sports for me. When I was little I couldn't sit patiently on the side of the pool and watch my older brother learn to swim so I jumped in a learnt too. Since then I've given many sports a good crack. Volleyball and Beach Volleyball have been the major sporting love of my life taking me around the world on the FIVB world tour. These days things are a little less competitive (depending on who is involved) and I enjoy getting out and about in the great Auckland area whether it is road cycling, running, tennis, beach volleyball, even a spot of fishing if the fish are biting. I also love to travel and although I have seen a lot of the world, I have only seen many places as an athlete so I look forward to returning to a couple of places as a tourist instead.

Time @ ts:

I'v been with total sport since April 2011.

Favourite aspects of my job:
That is doesn't feel like a job! From marketing through to course marking , it's all fun. A touch of office and constantly changing event locations keeps everything interesting and refreshing. There is also a great variety of people that are involved in Total Sport's events, ranging from the more serious athletes to parents, grandparents, flat mates, couples and kids. They all come with an excited attitude and leave with stories of their own personal achievements (and probably a good douse of mud) which makes putting on an event all worth it.

Other jobs I’ve had..
I worked in hospitality and retail through school, University and while competing on the world tour to help pay our way. In 2008 I became a professional athlete (in terms of it being full time, pretty much 7 days a week, but it doesn't mean taking a pay cheque) and then recruitment before Total Sport.

Tertiary education:
After completing college I studied Exercise Prescription at the New Zealand Institute of Sport. Between the periods of time of the world tour I studied an Arts degree majoring in Psychology. While travelling on the world tour I also studied extramural papers in Early Years Education.
