Like all the total sport staff, being active and out in the open spaces has made up a large part of my life as a kiwi kid and now adult. I spend most of my free days up in Omaha where I am part of the Surf Life Saving club but if I'm not on the beach you may struggle to track me down as I could be flying a private plane above you, out on the water fishing or diving, playing cricket with mates, mountain biking or spending time with friends and family. In general, give me something sport related to do and I'll be in there.
I also enjoy travelling and have covered a few continents on the globe ranging from Alaska, Canada and Hawaii, through the hot spots in Europe and a few of our Island neighbours out in the Pacific.
I'm one of the two new kids on the block but I have been put to work straight away and will be the event manager for the Tussock Traverse, Coastal Challenge, the DUAL, Nugget, T42 and the Arthur Lydiard Marathon
The most enjoyable part of my role at ts is working with Aaron on sponsorship as well as coming up with new marketing concepts and interesting ways to attract new participants. This hopefully leads to the production of awesome outdoor events and increased numbers of happy people doing our events.
After completing uni I worked at a conference event management company called Avenues Event Management. From there I moved to the New Zealand Sponsorship Agency where I was a Sponsorship Coordinator looking after corporate sponsorship and executing leverage and marketing initiatives. Prior to total sport I was at the North Shore City Council for two years where I was the Event Leverage and Development Coordinator which exposed me to a multitude of events, people and organisations. That brings me to total sport and I have been here since September 2011.
After life at Macleans College I did my final year of school in Sweden as an exchange student. When I came back I completed two diploma's at AUT, one in Outdoor Recreation Leadership and the other in Event Management.
